WHY JOIN AMBUEHL PTA?

WHO CAN JOIN AMBUEHL PTA?

We invite EVERYONE to join pta, as we work to make ambuehl elementary the best it can be for our students — our most precious resource. Our goal every year is to have 100% membership from all our Ambuehl families.

HOW MUCH IS AN AMBUEHL PTA MEMBERSHIP?

A PTA memberships is purchased individually ($20 each). You may purchase additional PTA memberships for each family member within the same transaction. Please note, you do not need to purchase a membership for your child. PTA is an annual membership for the school year begins on July 1 and ends on June 30. To join or renew your PTA membership, please JOIN PTA each school year or simply update your settings to automatically renew each year.

HOW ARE PTA MEMBER DUES USED?

PTA membership and dues support your child by funding essential educational and curriculum programs at Ambuehl that are not part of the school district funding. 

70% of PTA membership dues stays with Ambuehl PTA to support our school. Imagine if we had 250 PTA Members join, we could raise just over $3,500 to help support Ambuehl programs, field trips, supplies, etc.

The remaining 30% is distributed to the National PTA, California State PTA, 4th District PTA, and Capistrano Unified Council to help advocate on behalf of children and educators at the local, state, and national levels; and building an inclusive school community for all families.

DO I HAVE TO VOLUNTEER?

Becoming a PTA member is a sign of support for your student and not a volunteer commitment. We understand everyone has busy schedules — work, school, child care, sports/activities, family commitments and more. The only thing required of you to be a member of PTA is to pay the annual membership dues. BEYOND THAT, HOWEVER YOU CHOOSE TO PTA IS UP TO YOU!

PTA offers all parents and members the opportunity to be engaged in their child’s potential. From volunteering at school events to holding PTA leadership roles – the level of involvement is up to you. THERE IS NO WRONG WAY TO PTA! For a list of volunteer opportunities, head over to our VOLUNTEER page for more information.
